Having reached our 1,000th trade member milestone in September, we thought it opportune to reach out to DPM Industrial Roofing (UK) Limited based in Stoke-on-Trent, in the Midlands, and find out just exactly what NFRC membership means to them. Sean Wallace, Director of DPM Industrial Roofing explains:
Why did you join NFRC?
Alongside our safety accreditations, we wanted to get recognition from the leading professional body in our industry to underline the fact that we are a professional accredited business.
What do you consider to be the main benefits of membership?
In addition to improved professional recognition, we can now access shared buying power; thereby enabling cost savings. Plus, membership will help strengthen our marketing strategy too. We will also be able to benefit from the reduced work required for H&S Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. As some areas of the PQQ are already covered by NFRC membership, we are exempt from certain sections of the questionnaires which helps reduce workload.
In what way has membership benefited you so far?
In addition to the above, there are many financial benefits of joining NFRC. For example, we have already benefitted from low cost insurance, thanks to their buying power.
How would you recommend membership to other roofing companies?
I would highly recommend NFRC to any roofing contractor. NRFC is a professional organisation, and its customer service to members is exemplary.
In such a short time, it’s great to see our 1,000th member already seeing a return on their investment and recognising the benefits that are yet to come. Some roofing contractors can be quick to dismiss the benefits of joining an association like NFRC and are critical of the costs. However, when you consider all the benefits - particularly, if you take full advantage - it can be one of the best investments you could ever make.
Since the Federation began in 1892, it has undergone a number of changes not least in its growing membership. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to providing a high level of support, and a wide range of useful and competitive benefits; training, technical support and free membership of TrustMark, to name but a few.
